COP 25 - Climate Technology Transfer in Latin America: Lessons from the Transport Sector

“Climate Technology Transfer Mechanisms and Networks in Latin America and the Caribbean”, implemented by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and financed with resources from the Global Environment Facility (GEF), has promoted the development and transfer of technologies to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and vulnerability to climate change in the region, through the promotion and support of regional collaborative efforts; the support of planning and decision-making processes at national and sector level; the demonstration of facilitating policies and mechanisms, and the mobilization of private and public financial and human resources. During the event, a panel of key actors will present and discuss recommendations to develop institutional capacities and national policies in the region, as well as the results and lessons learned for the transport sector.
